Thailand northern region consists of Chiang Mai (the main capital of Lanna or the northern region, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Mae Hong Son and Uttaradit province.  Each province has its own unique environment and unique atmosphere. With the lovely landscape and the atmosphere, it becomes one of the places where visitors always wanted to travel to. Mainly the trip can be starts from Bangkok or starts from Chiang Mai by flight, trains, buses or by car.

We would like to suggest the visit by car if you have time. This because you can see and enjoy more places, atmosphere, things to see and to do more than just flying over them.  On route, there are many different landscape and different attractions as well as some unseen places that you may not know or hear about it. Road trip offers you a wonderful feeling so you can see and meet the local people and learn the culture of each place while stopping. If we separate them from the how big city they are, Chiang Mai is number 1 on the list due to the area which are much bigger than the others. Runner up by Chiang Rai as the famous area of the trading between Thailand and China as the gigantic Mae Khong River is running through from the famous Golden Triangle to the northeast of Thailand and then to the sea. Lamphun as the area of the industrial estates and factories which combine with the easy and slow life of the locals. Lampang province as the area where the famous Emerald Buddha once placed before Chiang Mai and Bangkok. It is also the elephant conservation center and the first elephant hospital in Thailand located. Phrae province where the local produce the fabric and clothing from indico which is very unique. Nan with the salted well up the hill and as one of the Thailand and Laos borders. Uttaradit as the frontier border to the upper central part of Thailand. The last one is Mae Hong Son province with the long border line between Thailand and Myanmar. Divided by Thanon Thong Chai Range to the west of Thailand. It is also famous for the beautiful landscape as well as the combination of the different ethnicities from locals Thai and the neighborhood who had migrated and settled down for long time. So that we can still see parts of the mixed architect onto the buildings spread out in the its area. We can say that there are more varieties of places and activities for you to learn with the wonderful memorable and joy.
