Klong Klone Mangrove, Thailand. ( Khlong Khon)

Khlong Khon

Thailand is a combination of various circumstances with both mountains, forest and sea. No wonder why people from all over the world prefer visiting Thailand during their holidays. Bangkok is always the first destination to land as there is the biggest international airport like Suwannaphum Airport and Don Muang which can connect visitors from many places and then continue the trip to some other parts of Thailand. Travel from Bangkok to other places in Thailand if you want to see and enjoy it, we suggest traveling on land. Of course, the minivan which is easy to access to all places and also more comfortable with some space where you could put your luggage and things along the trip.

Today we are going to introduce you to one of the areas if you love nature instead of temples which you could see everywhere in Thailand. Mangrove area! We are going to introduce you to Klong Klone  ( Khlong Khon) Mangrove forest where you could take the boat ride by the local people to go along the mangrove from the small canal channels to the sea. On the way, there are some fishermen who live and earn their living from fishing, finding clams, cockles, razor clams and fish which you could stop by and take some photos and have some conversation with them. The other fun part is seeing wild monkeys that live their lives with the locals. Here it is a great opportunity to see and get close to the monkey as you could feed them the food and they are going to swim by the boat to get the food. Is that cool? You could add this place to your travel list or let us show you.

Pang Pa Inn Palace, Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya province is one of the destinations that most visitors put it on the travel list. Due to Ayutthaya province located not to far from Bangkok which means you could also travel as a day tour if you have not much time plan while visit Thailand. However we would like to suggest this place to be on your travel list as it is one of the historical places in Ayutthaya instead of Ayutthaya historical site with the old ruins of the temples and the ancient city.

Pang Pa Inn Palace located on the Chao Phraya River bank which separate a bit from the main Chao Phraya River, it first built in Ayutthaya Period and was abandoned after got the 2nd lost from the Burmese War. Until King Rama 4th of Thailand had reconstructed the palace again and used as the reception palace for all Kings and Queens from abroad such as The Queen from the Netherland, The Queen from Denmark, Elizabeth the Queen of England as well as the Royal Family from Japan. There are 7 important spots to visit in Pang Pa Inn Palace. The famous one would be the memorial statue  of Queen Sunant aKumareerat, the queen of King Rama 5thof Thailand who passed away from the shipwreck with her 2 children which you could see the memorial statue in the palace area. This palace became the memorial of love for King Rama 5th to his wife and his children since then.

Now a day, the palace opens for the visitors as well as Thai and foreigners to visit in Ayutthaya to learn about the history, enjoy with the beautiful architect as well as taking photos. It opens daily from 8am -4pm. Visiting to this place we have to dress properly as it is as the palace, please.

If you have limit of time, you could choose a day visit to Ayutthaya province and Pang Pa Inn Palace. However  you have more time and love travelling on road to see things on the way, we would suggested 6-7 days trip starts from Bangkok to Chiang Mai or from Chiang Mai to Bangkok to cover all the interesting places which include Ayutthaya and Pang Pa Inn Palace as well.

Muang On Cave, Chiang Mai.

Muang On Cave, Chiang Mai.

Many people love the nature and try seeking the beautiful nature sites to visit. These places are spreading everywhere in the world. Some might hide in the secret areas and wait till someone passes by and explore.  Caves would be one of the places in this kind of nature site that people love to see and explore. They are not the same in term of the area where they located. In Asia like in Thailand, caves are the places where the ancient people kept all treasures in for the new generations to find and preserve. Muang On cave that we are going to tell you the story is one of the local tourist attraction sites in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  30 kms. to the East side of Chiang Mai city area, located in Sankhampang District. There’s a legend tells among the local people that once when the Lord Buddha had travelled in this area and stopped by the cave for rest, meditation and teaching the Buddhism. He found the cave and spent his time there. In the cave, there was a Naga who lived there had disguised himself and offered the Lord Buddha fruits and honey when he spent his time there. When the Lord Buddha was going to leave the cave, the Naga had asked for the Lord Buddha’s hair to place in the cave for him to pay respect. The Naga had placed the Lord Buddha’s hair on the top of the stalagmite as seen in the present.  The local people found the cave again when Kru Ba Sriwichai, the famous monk of Lanna had spent his time meditation in the cave and found the relic of the Lord Buddha so that it has became the place for the people to show respect for the Lord Buddha since then.

On the way to visit Muang On Cave, you could also see wild monkeys which are rare to find in the northern area as mainly we usaully find them down south of Thailand more than in the northern part of Thailand.

Now a day, Muang On Cave is one of the tourist attractions as the unseen place to see and visit as it is located not too far from Chiang Mai city are and also after the cave you could also visit Sankampang  Hot Spring as well.  This could be one of the plan trip which could cover half day for you to go around if you prefer not to visit the crowded places, this is the best option for you.
