Uthaithani, Lovely Province.
The name of Uthaithani province wouldn’t well known for visitors, especially from abroad. This province is just a small area with 2,598.5 sq.mi. It located in the upper central part of Thailand and also as the lower part of the northern Thailand. It was the hometown of King Rama the 1st of Thailand where located alongside of the Sa Kae Krang River. This place has many interesting places to visit and see. It is also calm and peaceful which is suitable for ones who love the peaceful place and away from the chaotic. Locals still live peacefully and slow life. There are also rice fields for you to see and take photos. Some other sites in this area is the famous Crystal glass hall in Tha – Soong Temple which called by the locals ,Viharn Kaew. “ Viharn “means the main hall and “Kaew” means glasses or mirror. The Golden castle where they used as the museum to show you the Buddhist fine art as the collections of the Buddha images which you couldn’t believe your own eyes.
Sa Kae Krang Mountain right in the center of city is also the good place for you to see the view of this town and exercise if you prefer to walk up the stairs however there is also the road that we could reach by car.
Hub Paa Tard is also one of the highlight in Uthaithani as you could see the prehistory forest hiding in the cave. Walking through the darkness of the cave tunnel and see the prehistorical forest as you are in the Jurassic time.
Uthaithani is also famous for the dishes from fish as it located on the river bank of the Sa Kae Krang River. There are many types of fish for you to try.
This lovely place could be stopped on the way from Bangkok to Chiang Mai or from Chiang Mai to Bangkok where you could see many famous and interesting sites during the visit on the way. However to enjoy the trip, you might need at least 5 days as maximum to add this lovely place on your travel list.
